Can the power supply of the jammer system be changed from AC to DC?
In the process of building the jammer system, the power supply to each jammer in the system is an essential construction link. As the construction unit of the project contractor, there are doubts about whether the power supply of the entire jammer system is AC or DC. and disagreements, here we provide explanations and clarifications on this issue.
First of all, let's talk about the difference and advantages and disadvantages of AC power supply and DC power supply:The AC power supply uses ordinary mains power to provide power supply to the equipment in the jammer system. AC power is the mains power. Generally, a sufficient number of AC power outlets are reserved on the project site, which can greatly facilitate the construction party to obtain electricity nearby.
DC power supply is to first supply power to each signal shielding device in the jammer system through an AC-to-DC power conversion device in the form of DC power. The biggest advantage of this method is that it is convenient to unify the devices in the system. Power supply management is equivalent to realizing a unified startup and shutdown function.
However, with the iterative upgrade of the jammer system, in today's 5G era, the power consumption of each individual jammer in the system is at least 100W or more. If AC power is used, each node needs to carry the power consumption. The current is less than 1A. However, if the DC power supply is replaced, the DC voltage for each shielding terminal in the jammer system is generally 5V or 12V. After calculation, it can be known that the carrying current required by each shielding terminal will be about 15A-30A. It is not difficult to see that this current value is already very large. If multiple jammers are connected in parallel on a DC power supply line at the same time, then the current carried by this DC power supply line will exceed 100A, which will affect the diameter of the power line. And transmission security brings more stringent requirements. It will also bring about a substantial increase in material costs.
Through the above analysis, it is easy to draw the conclusion that the current power supply mode of the jammer system is definitely AC power supply.
