Recently, a customer asked whether the police frequency jammer should be equipped with omnidirectional antenna or directional antenna? Which is more convenient and which is more effective?

As the name implies, it is mainly used for the wireless signal jamming equipment used by the police in handling some special tasks, such as group events, on-site temporary communication control, and other tasks.

According to the variability of the use site, the jammer is generally portable, and the common ones are the towed box type and the backpack type. If there are no special requirements, the omni-directional antenna is equipped when leaving the factory. The advantages of the omni-directional antenna are as follows: 1. It is convenient to carry. The omni-directional antenna is slim and long. When carrying, just put the antenna into the storage bag. A better one is equipped with a special storage box for antenna, which takes up less space and does not need to worry about collision. 2. It can be disassembled quickly. When arriving at the task site, just screw down the omnidirectional antenna by matching the frequency band of the omnidirectional antenna with the frequency band interface of the police jammer. It is also convenient to disassemble, and then screw down the antenna and put it into the storage bag.

If directional antenna is selected, it is not convenient to carry it with omnidirectional antenna. Directional antennas are all board mounted, which will take up more space. It is not only necessary to carry directional antennas, but also to carry the installation bracket of directional antennas. Storage is also a problem. During disassembly and assembly, the directional antenna needs to be installed on the antenna bracket first, and then connected to the host of the police frequency jammer through the feeder. The preparation time is relatively long, and the operation is not as simple as the omnidirectional antenna. However, the gain of directional antenna is higher than that of omnidirectional antenna, which can maximize the effect of jammer. This omnidirectional antenna has no advantage.
