Police launch 'Keep eyes on the road' campaign
Drivers who use their mobile phone at the wheel will be targeted in a two-week police campaign.
The Wales-wide crackdown urges motorists not to be distracted by answering their phone, reading a text or going online.
More than 900 drivers were caught during last year's campaign.
Officers will be carrying out patrols from 24 September to 7 October and said they hoped it would cut the number of serious crashes.
Last year Dyfed-Powys Police issued 447 fixed penalty notices, Gwent Police gave out 72, North Wales Police issued 53 traffic offence reports, while South Wales Police caught 342 offenders.
It is against the law to use a phone at the wheel and anyone caught could get a £100 fine and three points on their licence, or the matter could be dealt with in court.(from BBC news)
