The effect of high-power signal jammers using omnidirectional antennas is not good. Can changing to three-sided orientation improve the interference distance?
In order to maximize the interference distance and interference effect of high-power signal jammers, some customers use omnidirectional antennas for high-power signal jammers. After adopting this approach, the coverage of the jamming signal is an area with the signal jammer as the center and a radius of tens or even hundreds of meters. However, there are still some customers who hope that the coverage radius of the interference signal can be further improved because the on-site environment is very open, so a proposal is proposed, that is, the omnidirectional antenna is changed to a directional antenna, and each directional antenna is responsible for 120 degrees. Sectors, grouped together for full 360-degree coverage. Because the gain value of the directional antenna is much larger than that of the omnidirectional antenna, if so inferred, the interference effect can be improved only by replacing the antenna.
Is this really the case? The results are unfortunate. The gain of a directional antenna is very high. However, because three directional antennas need to be used, the signal jammer as a signal source needs to provide signals to three directional antennas at the same time, which requires the use of a power divider (power divider, one input and three outputs), which is actually The output power of the signal jammer is equally divided into three. In addition, it should also be noted that, because the power distribution link is added, the power attenuation of some RF adapters and RF cables during transmission will be increased at the same time.Copyright © 2025 NanJing BoKang Electromechanical Technology CO.,LTD.All Rights Reserved.
